Dr Ruth Harley - muses on NZ film

Courtesy of The Big Idea, I have just caught up with this interview with Ruth Harley, who after ten and a half years as CEO of the NZ Film Commission, has moved across the ditch to lead Screen Australia.

I remember her as a very able and entertaining co-judge of the
Interactive New Zealand ICON awards.. She also did a brief spell with Saatchi, Wellington on their interactive/web accounts, but then returned to the NZ Film Commission, her first love.

In this interview she talks to Clare O'Leary from NZ OnScreen. She makes some compelling points, especially around the challenge for small countries to make big film/foot/ prints. Here's wishing her good luck across the ditch.
